Kawagoe, The little edo

We will visit Kawagoe, a small city close to Tokyo, also called "the little Edo". This name is refering to the historic area of the city. Wellknown for its festival the third weekend of october, this city welcome the Edo period lovers.
Still very little known to tourists this small town near Tokyo offers a good example of what the small cities were during the Edo period.
We will visit first Kitain Temple, its garden and the building. We will follow by the Honmaru residence, a souvenir of the old castle. We will walk around the city to discover uniques places. We will finally stop by the historic streets of the city. Kurazukuri, is wellknow for the wooden Edo style houses. The Toki no Kane tower, in the center of the city is now the symbol from the past of the city. We will also stop by traditional shops.
